Summary
A few years after the war against Zarkon and the rest of his destructive family had been won and Earth was on the road of recovery, but then humanity had started to.. Change. Another few years added after that change and something else had begun to boil in the pot of weird things he had long learned to just accept and move on from.
Strange, it was, that he had learned so many, very many things from his time with Voltron and his friends. Had learned to accept whatever came his way, even if it seemed impossible or unrealistic, and how to embrace the things that terrified him so he could fight them with a clear head. He had learned that the trust and faith he had in his friends wouldn't fade no matter what or where they were now, or how far apart. Somehow he was still having to learn to just trust his own goddamn gut and stop blaming them for being right in the worst ways.
Lucky for him that someone else had.

He knew keeping himself hidden from Seven would become a rather hard challenge in the long run if he actually made contact, as he was more than well aware of the man’s skills and talents. But.. he should be fine, as long as he cut the contact and erased himself before the situation went out of hand. And he really was bored. So, so bored. With a click with his tongue and a sip from the soda, he quickly checked who was present in the app’s chatroom, and grinned shortly as he saw a few logging out, leaving Seven the only one left.

He turned around in his bed, moving around in it clearly panicking, with sounds of sobs and small cries as confirmation about the kind of dream he was having. However, no one was in his room to witness it, which he preferred. As much as the world was awfully lonely and cold, he found the thought of depending on others terrifying. Not because he did not want to disappoint them, nor because he was scared how’d they feel if he ended up dead somehow. No. His only reason to keep the people around him at a safe distance was simply that he couldn’t afford experiencing the loss of another loved one again.
