Something is wrong.
She lurches to a standstill.
Just under the rim.
Something is very wrong.

Summary
A steaming mug of … something suddenly appears in her peripheral vision.
Vic smiles, all toothy and bright, maneuvering around the sectional until she’s directly in front of the blonde now.
“It’s hot chocolate,” she chirps, shaking the mug out at her, and small curls of steam waft from the drink as it swirls a little at the brim. “Here, drink it before it gets cold.”
.... ...
Everything is fine and she is fine.
Maya is fine. There’s nothing wrong with her. There's no reason to be making such a big deal out of nothing, she just needs to pull her shit together but she couldn’t figure out how.

Summary
Vic’s chest hurts.
The dull ache has progressed to some weird type of fiery burn and the curl of breathlessness is a vice grip around her chest, cranking tighter with every inhalation and maybe it isn’t walking that’s the issue, but breathing.
And well… fuck…she has to breathe.
...
Hughes is not having a great time at this structure fire. The team isn't to happy about it either.

Summary
A series of rifle-like cracks pierced the air, the final screams of death-throttled metal, and in a burgeoning rumble the outer section they’d been walking on only moments before separated almost completely.
Then the safety line wasn’t taut anymore.
A realization the blonde didn’t fully make until she hit the surface of the Snoqualmie River and icy water closed over her head.
.. ...
The one where a structure fire goes from bad to worse and nobody is having a good time.

And it was too late.

Summary
She and Kara were friends.
Friends. And friends looked out for each other.
So exhausted, the detective lowers herself down onto the mahogany park bench that’d had the audacity to survive the whole ordeal, and asks the question.
"Are you good, Supergirl?"

Summary
“Whoa! Hey, hey hey… where are you going?”
Maggie yelps, almost spinning with the force of the movement as the other woman almost barrels through them. Lucy isn’t so lucky, picking herself off the ground.
“I… I… think… I need to go?”
Kara whispers with grandiosity, leaning away from them, like it’s a question or some big secret.
“Yeah? Well, slow down a second. Take a breath.”
The blonde doesn’t heed Maggie’s advice, shifting from one foot to another, looking away from them back out at the crowd.
“Yeah. No. I think I gotta…. I gotta go. We should go.” ll
The one were Maggie's been out of the loop for entirely too long and Kara's not dealing with anything.

Summary
Stephen is still. Oh, so carefully still as the dark electricity flutters around him and he bites again, “Who is here?”
Bruce looks flustered, but he brushes back his curly thick hair and glances briefly at his stat-pad.
“Uh… no one really. Memorial Day. Tony let’s everybody have the day off. Do the Sanctum’s get time off for holi- Oh wait, some of the B-Team is back. Didn’t think they'd be back for another day or two.”
The scientist rambles as Stephen forces back an inpatient breath.
“Sam says they found what the street barters are calling Night Shard, if you want to take it along with you to the Sanctum. You could get a chance to meet some of the others here. I know you don’t stop by a lot, but hey we don’t get out a lot either so-”
“Sure.” Strange interrupts shortly. “Take me to them.”

Summary
The jet is stalling.
That Maggie knows before she registers the fall.
Amongst the slushing emerald and ashen, buffeting smoke, there is too much blue. Too much sky.
She’s pointed upward, which means the jet is pointing upwards, which means when her stomach lodges herself into her throat and crimson runs back into her hair, she’s falling backwards.
Maggie’s had more than enough flight training to know that no one walks off a thirty thousand foot drop off. //
A military AU.

Summary
Maggie feels her bare palms scrape against the rough ground as she scrambles towards her fiancé, her future wife, trying to reign in some semblance of anything but the sheer terror because all she can think about is the spray of red against her face and the horribly, confused way Alex had looked at her when that shot rang out in a sea full of gun fire.
And… those DEO regulated vests are supposed to be bulletproof.
They're not.
Not against bullets met for a World Killer.

Summary
So even when Maggie had texted back that she’d be over in an hour or so to pick them up and had absolutely no qualms about Little Danvers bunking over with them for the night, she’s still a little confused, because can’t Kara fly?
She's pretty positive that that’s how Kara gets to the DEO everyday and probably how she would get everywhere if it weren’t for the whole pretending to be a completely human reporter thing.
“Hey, Maggie!”
Kara greets loudly and just a bit too off kilter to be normal, as Maggie slides completely into the medical bay, closing the door behind her.
And okay… maybe she had missed something.
//
Kara solar flares, Alex and Maggie bring her back to their apartment.

Summary
"Whoa, and I thought we looked like crap."
Maggie turns, mimicking his visor gesture as she gazes past swirling sirens and yellow police tape to see what he’s pointing at.
And oh...
She has a pretty good idea.
Across the way, Maggie sees Supergirl leaning wilted against the wall of the Baker Hugh Skyscraper, hands hitched over her head, eyes squeezed shut as she raked in air with such a laborious effort that the detective recognizes the trouble she’s having from yards away and she realizes after a moment the blonde was shaking, vibrating almost.
Well that wasn’t good. \\///ll
Another day. Another world ending event.
And another hero who doesn't know when to take a break.

Summary
And there is something off about her, something the detective can’t quite place, but the thought is pushed to the back of her mind because although it is very worrisome that there is a six year old in a shipping container, alone in the dark, it is not as nearly as disconcerting as what she’s wearing.
The poor kid is practically swimming in an adult version of Supergirl's uniform.
It sags around her small shoulders and trembling, thin fingers peek out from beneath bunched dark blue fabric, digging up into the collar of her outfit as she holds it to her chest, red boots rising up to her thighs like waders, and the billowing cape dwarfs her as it gathers on the floor in twisted folds. It’s a rather realistic replica of the one the detective’s seen so many times in person, but the fact that this kid is wearing it really only offers more questions than answers.
....
Maggie and Davidson get called into an unusual scene.
...An attempt at a de-aging fic
