The Elder's brows furrowed. "Am I understanding you correctly, Princess? That your suggestion for strengthening our alliance is arranged marriages between our available tribal leaders and theirs?"
Shuri smiled, a forced twisted thing. "Not quite, Elder. My suggestion for strengthening this alliance is an arranged marriage between K’uk’ulkan and me."

Namor speaks of waves large enough to consume entire cities, of storms that can sink the strongest ships, the peril of its vastness and its promise of isolation.
"That's not why I was scared."
Namor props himself up on his elbows to stare down at her. "What scared you, Princess?"
Shuri opens her eyes. There is a coy smile twitching at the corner of his lips. His eyes have darkened, reminding Shuri of a black hole, dark as they were endless, eager to devour.
You know, she thinks, you know exactly what.

Summary
Story starts with the five days that Shuri spent in Talokan (according to the OG script) and the relationship that bloomed between her and Namor. Events deviate slightly from the movie but I promise it will be for a good reason.
Shuri’s eyes flew open. He pushed off the against the wall and turned to away from her.
He walked toward the table where his mug sat, grabbing it and draining the last of the wine in there. He turned back to face her , where she was still stood, frozen against the murals.
“Thank you for accepting my invitation to eat with me, Princess,” he said politely.
Shuri began plotting his murder.
“I will be busy most of tomorrow during the day but I will ensure that my people make sure you want for nothing.”
She could start by plucking each feather from his stupid ankle wings one by one….
“Namora can escort you should you wish to go into Talokan while I am indisposed.”

“Allies?” Shuri stuck her hand out.
Namor looked at her hand and frowned.
Shuri hesitated. Oh Bast did I offend him? I forgot that certain gestures in different cultures mean-
Her thoughts screeched to a halt as she felt his hand clasp the back of her neck, and pull her head towards his.
He laid his forehead against hers and gazed into her eyes. The warmth of him enveloped her. Shuri didn’t want to think about how this closeness was making her feel. She looked into his eyes. What she was searching for she did not know, but the softness in his gaze let her know he did not intend to harm her.
“Allies.” His hand caressed her neck softly before letting her go.
What started as her place of peace became their place to build a stronger alliance. However, in getting to know the god-king of Talokan, Shuri realizes feelings are resurfacing that she had buried the day he and his people attacked her homeland. As a threat pushes them into their alliance sooner than expected, they have to decide if it is best to remain allies or become something more.
