How much can a title hurt? It was supposed to be easy, happy. Lando Norris had dreamt his entire life of being a world champion, except in the same day he gets his title, the breaking news spread around like wildfire. Oscar Piastri will be racing for Red Bull in 2026.
Suddenly the title tastes of nothing but betrayal.
Oscar didn't want to go. It was just that, sometimes, we are left without any choices at all. For all his faults, Piastri did not believe himself deserving of such disrespect, less of all coming from his own team. And it's hard to put things in perspective when you are in love with the man the entire world just saw beating you in the championship.
So he signs the contract. Oscar just didn't expect to have another reason not to let go yet, knocking on his door, demanding an explanation.

Summary
