“Etho can you bring me some water!?” he shouts, hoping Etho hasn’t wandered off too far. His eyebrows furrowed as he prepared to shout even louder.
Etho leaned out from behind a wall with a curious look on his face, “Did you say something?”
Bdubs instinctively relaxed his face and batted his eyelashes, tying to make his eyes even bigger and more sparkly “Yes, Etho, sweetheart, could you bring me a glass of water?” he asks politely.

Bdubs sprains his ankle and has to base at Etho's until it heals :D

– Eh nothing special, some bikers saw a 'humanoid lanky bugman' or something. — The man said — I've seen it all over, people come, they see a black bear or a deer in the shadow and think it's a newfound species. But honestly! I gotta give credit to the bikers relating said encounter cause the guys were better than most at storytelling! The missing food cans, rustling in the bushes all around them, the feeling of being watched.. Truly creepy stuff!

“Not a blip,” Bdubs says. “Wait, I didn’t get your name. What’s your name?”
There’s a second when Bdubs thinks he won’t answer—he just looks at Bdubs, and his eyes go strangely crinkley around the corners. Then, he says, “Etho. I’m Etho, Bdubs.”

Summary
"You're really into this guy, huh?" Cleo says as Bdubs settles into his seat at the table. Etho's getting the hang of knitting enough that Bdubs finally feels safe to knit too, while he sits beside him ready to help if needed. He only brings idiot-proof stuff to work, anyway, since he's always getting interrupted.
"Excuse me?" Bdubs asks. He aims for teasing, but it comes out a little too raw for that. She must be joking, but god, shouldn't Cleo know better as his best friend?
"Not like that—" they say quickly. "I know you're aromantic and stuff, I mean. Just, like, that you like him a lot, right? You've got a friend-crush.".
