“Two years?” he cries, reading the search results with wide-eyed horror. He can’t drive for two whole years?
Osamu whistles. “Wow, that sucks,” he says, calm as if this isn’t the end of the fucking world.
A moment of forgetfulness leatds to Atsumu having his first seizure in over ten years, thus ruining both his immaculate reputation and his day-to-day life for the foreseeable future. On the other hand it also nets him a boyfriend, so he probably shouldn't complain too much.

It's been over a year since the defeat of MaloMyotismon, and things have been quiet in the Digital world. Then Takeru starts having nightmares about an ocean. When he wakes one night with concrete evidence that his nightmares are real, it marks the beginning of another dangerous adventure which will test the Chosen Children to their limits. As they are drawn into a whole other world they know nothing about, it becomes obvious that they are running headfirst into another life-or-death adventure without the first idea of how to save the day.
Hope's Fire began its life in the summer of 2015, and as such there’s no Tri here - but there is a healthy amount of danger, and a generous sprinkling of mythological creatures to make up for that.

Ennoshita never asked for any of this. He’d have been content with pining—well, maybe not content, but resigned, at least. Instead, he gets a whirlwind romance with Tanaka which fizzles out into nothing within a year, and has to face the miserable prospect of picking himself up and moving on.
…Yeah, so it turns out he’s not very good at that part either. But amidst his moping, he stumbles into the heart of a mystery which paints their whole relationship in a different light. And while it might be playing into every single one of the ‘pathetic ex’ stereotypes he’s been embodying so far, he can’t help but hope he still has a chance to win Tanaka back.
Of course, he’s going to have to find the guy first.

There’s a girl sitting by the water when Hitoka goes down to play on the beach one day. She looks a little bit older than Hitoka herself—maybe ten or eleven or so—and as beautiful as the porcelain dolls which sit in the window of the fanciest toyshop in Kumanobe.
Hitoka is happy to make a new friend, down in the cove below her mother’s cottage one blustery morning. The girl is kind, and interesting, and it doesn’t matter how many people tell her she’s dangerous; a portent of an unhappy and lonely future. The stories are wrong. They have to be.
She certainly hopes so, at any rate. Because for right or wrong, as the years pass she can’t give up their friendship, no matter how many obstacles try to keep them apart.

“Hello, Bokuto-san,” Keiji said as the footsteps came to a halt, keeping his voice comparatively level. After all, Yachi was around somewhere.
“Akaashi, how come you still call me that?” Bokuto replied, the frustration evident in his voice. “And how do you always know it’s me?”
Keiji smiled crookedly. “You’d be amazed at how many people don’t race over to the greenhouses in great excitement,” he said, shaking his head and deliberately ignoring the first question.
The end of the world has come and gone, and the beginning of a new one is well underway. But adapting to a new way of life isn't easy - losing his sight leaves Akaashi having to start over in many respects. It would be bearable if only he didn't feel he was in danger of having to start over with Bokuto as well... although perhaps that's one danger which is less real than he fears.
Note: Although this is part of an AU, it can be read independently of it and is an order of magnitude less angsty.

“I’m telling you Kageyama—it’s haunted!” Hinata cried, sending his literature notes flying as he leant on the table in his excitement. Someone on the far side of the classroom called uselessly for quiet. “There’s some kind of hungry ghost on the mountaintop and it’s after me! It’s gonna eat my whole family if we don’t do something!”
“I don’t think there are actually ghosts in real life, Hinata,” Yamaguchi remarked, setting his pencil down beside his exercise book. His forehead wrinkled a little as he added; “Probably.”
When Hinata sees what has to be a ghost lurking around near his garden at night, he can't let the matter rest. Nevermind that no one else believes him. Nevermind that they're meant to be a study group. Nevermind, even, that Tsukishima isn't actually part of the study group at all. The only solution is for the four of them to team up and investigate, and sort the ghost problem once and for all.
...It goes about as well as you might expect.

Once, magic was everywhere. Ordinary. Infused into every facet of life, a steady stream flowing into the world to nourish and enrich it. Children were born brimming with power and the potential to do anything. Be anyone. But that was the old days. Magic has been in steady decline for more than a generation since then.
Without it, the world is fading as well. All the spark and life and joy ebbing away, piece by piece. What remains is flat and dull, lifeless by comparison.
It's the only world Izuku has ever known: the first child to be born without any connection to magic whatsoever. But there are rumours of a way to restore the natural flow—an artifact created to unblock the dam which holds it back, and restore the world to its former glory.
If only it were as simple as the old stories made out.

Summary
Tsukishima's life is a cosmic joke at his expense. Misfortune and strangeness follow no matter where he goes, or what he does, and he's long since given up hope that he can escape it. He's just trying to get by with as little of it as possible.
Yamaguchi has an unremarkable job and a humble apartment which it supports, but he's content with his lot in life, and how the magic which suffuses it cuts him off from doing the things other people take for granted.
Neither is anticipating the change which awaits them both.
