Bruce wakes up in hospital after a near-fatal fall from height. Dick is not taking it well. Alfred is Alfred.
Dick plays with the stack of the paper cups on the side table, taking some out of the bottom rows and balancing them on top, until the pyramid wobbles and tips, paper cups tumbling to the floor. Dick’s hand freezes.
“It’s just—” he says after a while, his voice barely audible. “You were right down at the bottom and the limbs were bent all wrong and you weren’t moving.”

But Bruce can't really complain because it's nice to see his son again and not fight for once.
(In which Bruce isn't a terrible dad and Dick is an excellent son.)
