Summary
If someone were to ask Gwaine why he spends so much time in bars, he would answer one of two things.
One, being that it’s always a good idea to be in a bar, there’s always mead, and better to die young, dumb, and drunk than young, dumb, and sober...
Number one also being the answer he gave to anyone who asked.
Number two (and the real reason) being that every important moment in his life occurred in a bar.
…
Yes.
A bar.
Strange how that happens.
Or, Merlin is Gwaine’s friend. His only friend, really, and it all started in a bar. So when Merlin asks Gwaine to go on a (definitely) deadly quest, what does he do? He goes on the quest. A horrible idea, really, and he may learn far more than anyone bargained for.

Bookmarker's Notes
Gwaine's inner monologue is everything you would expect and hope for and an absolute joy to read. And Gwaine & Freya as a chaotic, mostly clueless, but potentially powerful duo on Merlin's side is just too perfect not to love.

Merlin has, in Gwaine's appreciative opinion, an unnatural interest in armour.

It should be just kinky or silly but it's actually heart wrenchingly beautiful.

Summary
"Been wanting to do this for years," Eames mumbles against Arthur's spit slick mouth when he manages to pull back to take a breath, sliding Arthur's jacket off his shoulders. Arthur makes an annoyed sound when it hits the ground, but he doesn't pull back to pick it off the floor.
"No offense," Arthur says, muffled into his mouth. "But no shit."

Just wonderful, distant pining, letter writing and eventual happy home coming.

Summary
If Gawain and the Green Knight took place in the Merlin universe, it might have been a tiny bit different—because there's no way Merlin would let Gwaine traipse off on his own to get his head chopped off. Includes attempted alliterative verse, bawdy songs, evil deer, made-up spells, clichés, and a truly insane amount of fluffiness.
