“You know what it means,” he said, leaning in, lips barely brushing Leons before he roughly pushed him away, almost dislodging them both from where they were sitting on the buckets.

“No! Don’t! Even think about it” he said harshly, standing up. Gwaine scrambled after him. Shoving him back and causing his sword to clatter to the floor once again. If the metal was chipped or warped in any way he would beat Gwaine. They glared at each other. Heavy breathing filled the room, as the seconds ticked by the tension only grew.
“What the fuck is your problem Leon! If you don’t want to fuck then say so!”

Gaius did not open the door, nor did Merlin. Instead, standing in its place with the door half open was a stranger. With one hand, he held the door in place, while his body, half-leaning against the frame, blocked the view inside the room. There were no sounds from inside the room, so even though he couldn't see, he could assume the stranger was alone.
The stranger who happened to be very shirtless.
Leon wasn't someone who was easy to shock to the point of being speechless, but the sight of the man in front of him was enough to do it. He tried to look away but couldn't stop looking at the man's chest. Heat crawled up his neck, he felt embarrassed to be so obviously affected by something so common, as if he were some dumb naive boy. The uniqueness of the situation was the worst, because he had never lost his cool so effortlessly like this before.

Merlin gazed sadly at the view.
The wind carried a scent never found in Camelot—that of wet grass after the rain, of smoke from the fireplaces mingling with the morning mist. Merlin closed his eyes for a moment.
It took so little for the memory to strike him: Ealdor.
There was a peace in that name he could no longer find. He remembered the rolling hills stretching to the horizon, the laughter of children chasing geese, his mother's voice calling him from the doorway, the laughter shared with Will, at the expense of their fellow villagers.
Everything seemed simpler then, even the effort.

Destined to see the end of humanity with its cold and empty tendrils pointing a line directly at them.
And so Merlin did what you were supposed to do when you think you won’t make it to morning. He blew up his entire life.

5 times Arthur lost to Gwaine and the one time he won Merlin.
"Don't let people hurt you like this, Merlin." He mumbled, raising his other arm and untying the neckerchief to get a better look at the damage. "People do this to claim others, don't let them."
Arthur finally looked up at Merlin's eyes, who was looking at the prince like he had grown a horn. Merlin finally seemed to break out of the brief shock.
"And that's because as a servant I belong to the kingdom, don't I? This is basically property damage." He was teasing and trying to get under Arthur's skin but his eyes were still glued to the prince's.
"No. You don't let no one own you, that's an order," Arthur chuckled, brushing his thumb against the bites that were all down to Merlin collarbone. "If you break it you are gonna be committing treason." -

"Uther had been pissed when Arthur announced that instead of being a solo artist he was going to be part of a band but then their first album had gone platinum and the media had dubbed him the prince of rock and it had gotten Uther off their backs for a while.
The second album hadn't done as well as the first by a large margin. People were starting to call them a one-hit wonder. Uther tried to make the point to Arthur that he could branch off on his own now. Start his solo career. But Arthur wasn't having it. So now they were searching for their 'new sound' which Merlin had continuously rolled his eyes at. They were all on edge which meant they were all fighting all the time and Merlin was stuck playing mediator."
I.E. all the boys are in a rock band that has lost its sound. That is until they find out that Merlin is a brilliant piano player. But with Merlin's stage fright to overcome and Gwaine's budding feelings will they be able to keep the band together?
