Summary
It had been two days since the underdogs of Hatchetfield had risen up against the animalistic rule of Max Jägerman. That auspicious night at the old Waylon place had not ended the high schoolers’ daily routines of wedgies and locker-stuffings, but the rate at which they were punished for their existence had diminished significantly. The impossible had happened: Max had started thinking about the implications. If the people he had previously treated as less than sand in his jock could do a decent job at entertaining him for an hour, perhaps they were not so bad.
But this story isn’t about the redemption of a tyrant. The innocent must suffer, the guilty must be punished, and the hero must taste blood.
And one particular innocent, Peter Spankoffski, is about to have his future tied to the train tracks like a screaming, flailing damsel.

Summary
One prayer. That was all it took to prove his loyalty. If he was willing to do something like that on a whim, it would not be too hard for the Lord of Despair to push him a bit further. It was only a scant handful of well-placed words. It was only a couple of meetings with his troupemates. It was only necessary for one to deal with usurpers...
Or: Jon Matteson engages in a hostile takeover of Team StarKid over the course of several months.

In 2012, the entire Jenkins family disappeared. This was not a particularly noteworthy occurence; as the old adage goes, people go missing every day in Hatchetfield.
Unfortunately, sometimes, people don't just vanish into thin air. They simply change.
