When Inej set out to the sea, she expected to come back to Ketterdam soon, as a confident woman with a reputation, having saved hundreds of people and reunited countless broken families. She expects to see a certain Barrel Boss waiting for her with his gloves off. She expects to come back happy.
She does not expect to hurry back after receiving a terrifying letter about said Barrel Boss. She does not expect to hurry back after over a year of avoiding the city. She does not expect to hurry back in fear.
OR: Kaz attempts suicide, and it is up to the crows to help him see that he is not alone, and to understand why he had decided to do so. However, can you save someone who had willingly sacrificed himself to the darkness, believing there is not space in the world for him?
