Summary
Tenna knew his life couldn't revolve around another person, especially someone as insignificant as a mailman. He was a star, after all. And yet, when told the connection to Cyber City was re-established, Tenna finds himself on the first train over. Who the hell did Spamton think he was to leave without a word? Upon his arrival to the city, Tenna quickly learns the circumstances surrounding Spamton's disappearance are much more sinister than he ever could have imagined.
An AU in which Tenna goes searching for Spamton after his fleeing from TV World. In retrospect, Spamton having left him for someone else felt much more merciful than the harsh reality of the situation.

Summary
One of the many things that set robots apart from humans is the simple fact that they are deliberately designed to be a certain way. The very fundamentals of genetics means that humans come out more or less randomly. One versed in biology can determine what outcomes could potentially result from the union of two humans, but which of those outcomes actually occurs is up to fate. Robots, on the other hand, are put together piece by chosen piece. At every step of the creation process, a machine’s creator must decide what materials to use, how they want the end result to look, what functions they want their creation to be capable of, and so on and so forth. This is true even for reploids. Though they have the free will to decide what they want to do with their lives, they still must come out of production with the basic characteristics their creator gave them.
So for what purpose then, Zero wondered to himself as he ran a brush through blonde synthetic strands, did his creator decide to curse him with such ridiculously long hair?

When Zero decided to indulge X with the idea of an "activation day" and told him that his was June 25th, he hadn't thought much of it. It was only by looking back over the many years they had spent celebrating his life that he realized just how special the day really was. Somehow, this one day managed to tell an unexpected story with each passing year and gifted him a love that he came to cherish more than anything.

As far as Zero was aware, baking and cooking was one of X's good outlets for stress. It put the extra energy and focus into something he could do with his hands. It gave him a positive and tangible sense of completion and satisfaction.
