But when Kyle saw those blue eyes crinkle with a proud grin, all his disappointment faded away. He brushed imaginary dust away from his button-up and puffed out his chest as he walked over to Kenny. He walked much faster, meeting the other at the back of the house, close to the entrance door Kenny had just walked through.

Kyle Broflovski hates Christmas.
Kenny McCormick also hates Christmas.
It was always weird to think that Kenny and Kyle didn’t live too far apart. Maybe the town was so small it was hard to live far from anyone, but Stan lived further from him than Kenny. They were just in such different social classes and lived such different lives. Kyle hadn’t worked a day in his life, yet he couldn’t imagine a day where the group’s plans weren’t interrupted by Kenny’s busy schedule. It was crazy for Kyle to think that the second he stepped over the railroad tracks, he was in basically a different part of town, an area where 11-year-olds had to illegally work to provide for their dead-beat families.

Kyle raises an eyebrow at the helmet in his hands. “It's Karen's,” Kenny explains with a shrug.

“So…what you’re saying is…” Jacob began, slowly shifting to a fighting position, “if I land a hit on you, it’ll be enough to brag to her about finally winning a fight.” He would never do that, as Giwi sighs in his ear, but he has to keep a confident front. If Quackity manages to see through it, then he’ll know he has the upper hand, and that means a huge loss for Jacob.
“Sure.” He shrugs Jaiden’s shoulders before putting the gun back in its holster. He assumes a similar position to Jacob but with an even cockier grin. “If.”

Jaiden's past catches up to her, and Jacob has to face a difficult decision. What will they do?

Summary
He lets his mind wander back to the original topic: what his friends are doing. Cartman is always a hit or miss. On one hand, he could literally be sleeping and doing nothing else, but on the other hand, he could be in the middle of some elaborate scheme that absolutely no one would enjoy except for Cartman himself because he’s Cartman.
And as for Stan, well…
Kenny stops, his eye falling on the boy he was just thinking about, who’s sitting on the edge of the bridge, legs dangling. Underneath the bridge isn’t the longest drop in the world, but it led to a river surrounded by jagged rocks, and if planned right, one could even kill themself from right where he’s sitting.
Kenny would know.
Or,
Stan tries something stupid and Kenny stops it from happening…in his own way.

As soon as Cartman opens his mouth, four of the candles around the candle Stan just lit erupt with a flame. The brunette screams, and Stan shushes him and shoots a pointed look at Kyle, who snorts at Cartman’s response.

Now, what happened next was not Jaiden’s intention. She has never been a violent person and would have much rather just talked it out. But we can all agree: the guy had it coming.

“Get off of my doorstep.” Jaiden glared at the worker. They only nodded, pushing the sword out of their face before turning on their heel and walking away. Jaiden dropped her weapon, staring the worker down as they left. When they were a good enough distance, she turned around and entered the house.
“Don’t forget, Miss Jaiden. 24 hours, and I collect the paperwork.”
