He’d even pulled back, cupping Kazuha’s face in his hands, and said, “You’re really here,” in the wondrous tone of voice Kazuha wasn’t sure he’d earned. It was in that moment he realized he’d been expecting Gorou to treat him coldly.

Summary
Not a day goes by that Gorou doesn’t marvel at the fact he and Kazuha are together. They were friends first, but for the longest time, Gorou didn’t dare imagine romance blossoming between them. It took him ages to work up the courage to confess. A part of him still can’t believe that Kazuha loves him back. It’s Kazuha who could have his choice of partners; Gorou could never love again.
Which is why he’s going to ask Kazuha to marry him.
Gorou works up the courage to propose.

Kazuha grips his sword with both hands and feels his Vision pulse.
“Kazuha,” the Raiden Shogun says impersonally, with the same regard one would offer a doorknob, “is a threat to the future of this nation.”
Kazuha is to be made an example of before all Inazuma, and the Raiden Shogun nearly succeeds. But there's more than one way to face her damning eternity—perhaps even with the tools she intended to build it with.

He scours his mind for details. They hadn't been that close, even before the whole mess that ended up with him stowing away on a ship, never to return. Kazuha had been concerned with different things; appreciating nature, composing poems, finding them a place to sleep and food to eat. Not so much with what his friend had picked up off the side of the road and decided to raise on a whim.
"He is small." That is all he says for a while, until he finally brings a blurry image to the forefront of his mind. "And white. Long-haired. My friend never bothered to give him a collar nor a name. He does not bite or scratch unless aggravated."
The traveler and Paimon stare at him for a time.
Then, "What kind of person is that!?"
"Person?" He blinks. "When did I imply that? He is a cat."
