    Prismo finished his drink, placing it back down with a sigh. Scarab studied the man's face. His eyes seemed to be half shut perpetually, dark circles outlining them, set deep into his face. His newly acquired stubble did not seem an intentional choice. Nothing ever seemed intentional with Prismo. He was the sort who partied through life with charisma and dumb luck. Yes, Prismo was the sort to laugh nervously through criticisms and compliments alike, stumbling into opportunities all the while taking for granted everything life had offered him.
    No more. It was time for consequences.

     

    Prismo is an editor and continuity coordinator for one of the biggest companies on the planet, but his narcolepsy doesn't make it easy.
