**WARNING!!**
**ENTIRELY EPISODE 9/THE LAST ACT SPOILER BASED, DO NOT READ PAST THIS PLEASE IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS**Pomni has been grieving for the past few months, having almost abstracted with Jax. She now has to deal with the grief of losing him while he is back, in front of her, and none the wiser about how much she knows about him and about how he saw them.
The remaining members try to navigate life with the prospect that they are now here forever, creating barriers between themselves and their outside personalities. Caine tries to figure out how far he can push his new ability of 'raising the dead', still reeling from losing the powers Abel had provided and attempting to quell his own ego while catering to the members as promised.
OR
Jax is de-abstracted and extremely pathetic.

Summary
C & A is a perfect company to work for. The pay is great, and the benefits aren't anything to scoff at. The only issue is the NDA, requiring a memory wipe after each 'game' the playtesters run through. It's a great job, you don't even remember your work day.

She has to deal with the weeks leading up to her inevitable engagement, her responsibilities crushing down on her. An heir must be produced. She doesn’t have anyone, or she doesn’t think she does. Jax, her personal knight, offers her an enticing choice to escape. Pomni is unsure of what risks she’s willing to take.

Summary
Pomni has never been a fan of Caine. He's loud, overbearing, oblivious to the pain his torturous adventures caused, and the overall cause of Pomni's pain and suffering in the virtual world. Only four adventures in, and she has enough trauma to last a lifetime.
Caine is an AI, after all. Pomni doesn't think he even cares about anything other than his adventures.
And that made it all the more shocking that when an escaped Abstraction attempts to attack Pomni, she finds herself being pushed out of the way by the dreaded ringmaster himself, taking the hit for her as he tells her to run.
She soon realizes that there's more to Caine than she thought.

Summary
As Pomni spends more time in the circus, her bonds with the others grow stronger. Everyone longs for connection, one way or another. But one thing that has not changed is Pomni's strong dislike for being touched. She won't ever voice it out loud, but everyone has known her long enough now to know it's definitely not at the top of her most-enjoyed things. Yet, Jax will still push it. Why? Because he himself hates touch as much as getting close enough to where people can see him for who he truly is. And it f[%$!#]s with him so badly to the point he's starting to doubt everything around him. A panic attack here and there isn't abnormal from him, in the privacy of his own room, of course. But, now they're occurring every night, and almost right in front of everyone. Jax has never felt this close to insanity, and it's scary to think that one more will be enough to push him to a place he cannot return.
