There was a time.
Not so long ago, they were both happy together.
It was, of course, not perfect. The shadow of the Dark Enchantress loomed ever closer, and the Cookies of Darkness wove chaos into the lives of their allies.But they were both alive; Pure Vanilla Cookie, radiant and gentle, ruled as king, a beacon of hope for a fragile kingdom. Shadow Milk Cookie, once wild and untamed, stood by his side as a trusted counselor, the darkness at the king’s light.
But the waves of time take the harvest.
Pure Vanilla, oh, his sweet ‘Nilly, was taken from him.

Summary
Though the riders secure a tactical victory against the warlords' armada -- freeing most of Berk's caged dragons and taking out a number of ships -- Toothless and his mate remain trapped in Grimmel's clutches, and Hiccup himself is captured in his attempt to aid the Furies. Grimmel decides to condition and weaponize his new prisoner with altered Deathgripper venom, partly for his own gain, and partly for the enjoyment of watching the Chief of Berk crumble from the inside out. -- My alternate-ending take on the Venomcup AU taking HTTYD Tumblr by storm.

From the moment he arrived, Dio made sure Jonathan's life was a living hell. In whatever brutal way he could think, he would do it. Even during the years of their cold war, there were skirmishes. And one such skirmish goes horrifically awry when he comes upon a scene he never expected. Never would Dio have wanted such a thing. It was too grotesque, even for him. And the words that cried out from Jonathan's mouth made Dio realize... he was no different from his old man.
Is it even possible? Can he even stomach to try? Can he truly, change? Or are people unchangeable like stone? But when Jonathan looks upon him with such eyes Dio can't help but think, perhaps he can. If anything, just to finally experience what a world of light is truly like. Maybe even love? But... what if it all goes wrong? Will he shatter like glass? It is the most fragile of hearts that break into the most dangerous of shards.
