Thorin catches her hand in his as she touches the gauze. “You still call me Thorin,” he says, softly.
“Well,” she says, trying as hard as she can to sound businesslike, “That’s because you’re not my king.”
“You’re under my mountain,” Thorin points out.
Bilbo scowls, and shakes his hand loose. “I can’t believe you’re arguing not five seconds after you’ve woken up,” she says, pulling the gauze free. It’s mostly healed, an ugly scar that will be there for the rest of his life. “Though perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised.”

“Do you remember when we dated?” Changbin asked out of the blue.
Seungmin remembered many things.

He remembered how Changbin had taken him on a date and kissed him in the car before dinner back in college. Seungmin felt dizzy after the kiss. Never again in his life he felt like that after kissing someone.
“Are we calling that dating now? We kissed twice over a few dates and you wouldn’t text me. Then I went after someone else,” Seungmin said. “You didn’t want anything serious.”
“No, you left me for some guy when I wanted a relationship!” Changbin looked at him in disbelief.
“Oh wow, really? That is a lie, and you know it!” Seungmin faked disbelief, too, then ate another fry. "Why this now?”
“I don’t know, sometimes I wonder. Do you not?”

“What are you doing here?” Minho is surprised to find Seungmin lingering at his practice a week into their conversation.
“I came to see you practice.” Seungmin smiles, reaching forward with a napkin to tap at Minho’s sweaty forehead, the older reflexively leaning forward and letting him, pulse thrumming steadily in his ears.
“But your…” the sound gets louder— pulse picking up the more he hears Seungmin speak to him and say things that he oh so desperately wanted to hear.
“I can wait. I always stay late anyways, two extra hours won’t hurt.”
“But—”
“How was practice?” Walking away and waiting for Minho to follow, Seungmin is pleased when he hears shoes squeak on the floor as he trails behind him.
AKA… Lee Minho’s childhood was not the best, now that he’s in university, well… he has a lot to learn about life, and love.

Summary
Kim Seungmin smiles, shy and excited, while the rest of the first string greet him warmly. Chan is standing at Seungmin’s other side with a friendly arm around the new kid’s shoulder. It’s funny to see the way the pitcher has to hunch so Chan’s reach is more comfortable. Their captain doesn’t seem to mind the height difference. Seungmin’s eyes scan the team, and as soon as his gaze meets Minho’s own his face turns stormy in a blink of an eye. It’s almost impressive how quickly he goes from nervous to murderous. Minho grins and sends him a little wave, and Seungmin bares his teeth in his direction.
So the pitcher remembers him too, that’s good. He wonders if he can convince the coach to trade this kid during the pre-season, but from the pride shining on the old man’s face he doubts he’ll listen to any of Minho’s concerns.

Summary
It was definitely routine by now. Something everyone in the pack was more than used to and also something that one would assume after dealing with it for a significant amount of time now, would prepare for. That would make Seungmin’s job a lot easier in this sense but of course, Minho always finds a way to make his job that little bit harder than needed.
Minho insists he hates it when Seungmin helps him during a rut. Seungmin is here to show him all he needs to do is relax.

Funnily enough, fate really does have a way to meddle with a person’s life. Because as it turned out, Seungmin’s crush has been unrequited all along, and suddenly, Minho found a sliver of hope lighting aglow and anew amidst the void in his heart. Like a lone, faraway star faintly glinting in a starless sky.
And it only took one drunken night for Minho’s life to change.
For better or worse.

“Nothing’s bothering me, Jagi.. I'm okay, I promise!” Seungmin frowned, determined to make them believe that he was just fine.
“I still don't believe you, you know?” Minho pouts, “Just say it. We won't judge, I promise.” He looked over at Jisung, who gave a reassuring nod at Seungmin as he caressed his cheek.
Seungmin couldn't help it anymore, he indulged in Jisungs warm hand and put his own over Jisungs, caressing the gentle skin as he looked over to Minho, his gaze softening. He then sighed, his breath hitching.
“I’m just.. nervous,” Seungmin starts, gazing down at the blankets as he shifts his position underneath. “About.. uhm.. my feelings.”
“What about it?” Jisung asked in a gentle tone, his thumb caressing Seungmins soft cheek. He nudged himself closer to him and let go of his face, laying his head on his shoulder and waiting for a response patiently.
“I was scared that you would get uncomfortable,” He then continued, looking at Minho, who was gazing tenderly at him in understanding. He nods as a gesture for Seungmin to continue, “If you knew that I sometimes just..” His breath hitched. “Lust over you?”
