Summary
Despite returning to Earth safe and sound (mostly), finding out Adam was thankfully alright, working together to stop the galra invasion and finally killing Sendak, Shiro and Adam still hadn't had a proper conversation yet.
As if that wasn't painful enough, the coalition needed someone to infiltrate and attend a ball on an alien planet to prevent an attack from a dangerous rebel group. Shiro was quick to volunteer.
What he hadn't expected was Adam deciding to go with him and both of them being forced to act like a couple, for the first time in years.

He’d tensed his body faster than he thought possible, expecting a shout or a blow or something he could call normal. He was met with a laugh instead. “Right, and we’re so different? Are we?”
“I’m not anything like you.” He said, the strength of his voice leaving him, It was testament to just how unalike they were in that very step- everything his father did was without worry and with the confidence one could only gain by stomping down on everything that threatened to destroy it. Then there was Lotor, who measured his every step like the ground would swallow him whole.
A low chuckle associated with the gladiator pits rose from his father’s throat. “But you will be.”
