Thomas has spend 3 weeks in the Glade, during which he's become a Runner, grown closer to Newt and Minho and developed a crush on the Med-jack Nikola.
“You gotta stop throwin’ yourself into trouble.” Minho mimicked past warnings: “I say ‘Never go beyond the walls’? You do. I say ‘Don’t look back’? You look back.... you got a death wish or somethin’?”
Thomas shrugged, then winced when it caused a piercing sting to shoot through his hurt shoulder. Immediately, Nikola appeared by his side and helped settle his arm into the sling.
“He’s right,” the Med-jack said. “You take too many chances.”
Shame twisted in Thomas’s gut. He hadn’t meant to worry anyone. But sometimes he couldn’t help it. Ever since he woke in the Box, there was this voice in his head screaming: Do something! Anything!Story changes p.o.v. between: Newt, Thomas, Minho and Nikola. Passion project: inspired by reading about Nikola Tesla (& his connection to Thomas Edison) and wanting to practice writing smut. Then there was suddenly a lot of anxiety, feelings and even an actual plot...
