"“Hmm,” Sherlock hums, eyes taking on a mischievous glint, “Looks like you’ll have to pick a new favorite, then.”
John flushes in embarrassment, “I don’t have a favorite freckle.”
“Yes you do,” Sherlock smiles, “you preferred this one,” he says, using his left forefinger to point to the nearly faded mark on the knuckle at the base of his right middle finger, “because you liked to watch it move with the bones and tendons.”
Sherlock is right, because of course he is."
Basically I hadn't written any smut in awhile and it was calling to me.

Summary
So many words in the English language sound similar. For instance, the words “kick” and “kiss.” In the right circumstances, in the right frame of mind, a person could very well say one and mean the other. Or, a person could easily hear one, when it really was the other. But what happens when it occurs more than once? What happens when it keeps occurring? ...
When the duo reached the registration table, John turned to Sherlock. “You know sometimes I could just kiss you,” he murmured.
Sherlock's eyes grew as wide as saucers, “Wha- what?”
“Sometimes I could just kick you,” John stage whispered. “You’re forty minutes late!”
... Hmmm. It begs the question:
Is John mis-speaking … or … is Sherlock mis-hearing?

You see, they’ve both greatly disappointed me and yet, they’re both such fascinating specimens. I thought I’d keep one of them around. After all, even I get bored sometimes and both of them can provide a good challenge when provoked. Anyway, that’s where you come in.”
John felt like his blood had frozen instantly inside his veins. The realization of Moriarty’s plan sank in quickly. John would be the one who decides who dies—Sherlock or Mary.
“Oh, God,” John whispered in horror.

After we had discovered her deception. After it had turned out she’d lied to me from the start. He averted his gaze, cleared his throat, searched for words. “Well. I’m making it work.”
Sherlock looked at him, silent for a few seconds, then asked, “And you’re happy?”
