Shisui leaned close enough Shuji could count his eyelashes if he tried. He decidedly did not. Shuji remained on the bench, book resting on his chest, and met Shisui’s eyes without hesitation. Uchiha were always weird, but Shisui certainly came out as top dog weirdo.
“Have we met before? I feel like I would have remembered someone like you.”

You don’t get to choose your family, and while he’d never willingly pick any other, Shuji reluctantly accepted his life was shit. He chose to embrace his second life no matter what.No one told him Uchiha’s were so peculiar.

Summary
What if Sasuke brought Naruto with him when he left to atone?

They are barely a foot apart. Naruto squirms suddenly very aware that in his haste, he hadn’t even put on a shirt.
“Sasuke can you just come inside”? I’m not even dressed, ya-know?”
Sasuke nods and follows Naruto inside. Naruto leaves Sasuke standing in the middle of his apartment. He disappears around the corner, yanks on a shirt, and returns — slightly breathless.
Sasuke arches an eyebrow. “Nothing I haven’t seen before, loser.”
Naruto snorts. “Oh yeah? So, you’d prefer I stayed naked?”

“I have to leave the village,” Sasuke says quietly. “This time, it isn’t about revenge. I want to find people who need help. I want to protect instead of destroy.”
He hesitates.
Naruto’s breath catches.
“And… I want—” Sasuke closes his eyes briefly, as if steadying himself.
