Summary
Ignis’s tongue dives into Prompto's mouth to swallow up his moans, and Ignis rolls his hips, a long, slow movement that makes Prompto’s whole body cry out for more. He can’t move, though, can barely even open his mouth to speak with Ignis’s blade at his throat.
Prompto knows this is just for him. Ignis would never get this close to threatening Noct, not even if Noct begged him for it. He can only do this to Prompto. This Ignis, the one with gloves on and hair up and knife out, the one with his breath coming ragged the more Prompto writhes underneath him, this is all his.

Crystal blue eyes looked over to the clock on his nightstand. Two AM flashed back at him in bright red numbers. Noctis groaned. Beside him, his cellphone lay on the unused pillow. He could text Prompto? Nah, why should he wake his friend up this late at night. He had to be in school the next morning too. Maybe play a few rounds of single-player Kings Knight? No, it wasn’t any fun unless he was playing with someone else. Browse his various social media sites? Ugh, no, he’d done that twenty minutes ago, and nothing interesting was happening. If he got up to try and study, that might put him to sleep, but that also required him to use brain functions he didn’t want to have to use right about now. Ignis had left him a report to read over? Maybe he could do that…

The thought of his advisor sent a strange little shiver through Noctis’ body, and out a smile on his lips. It was the kind of happy shiver that he’d once felt when he’d lay eyes on Luna, before he understood where his true affections lay. A crush, some called it. Infatuation, said others. Whatever it was, Noctis thought as a soft little sigh left him in a hum, it probably wasn’t a good thing.

Ignis (7:55 p.m.): I remember why we rarely have these little group chats.
Ignis (7:57 p.m.): Every single one of you is incorrigible and inappropriate to the extreme.What started off as a fic of Noct and Gladio sending fake emails to Prompto and Ignis in order to try to get them together has somehow devolved into this monstrosity of ridiculous group chats, dick pics, and endless shenanigans.
In which Noct is a spoiled brat and likes to stir shit up, Prompto is a beautiful cinnamon roll and way too obsessed with emojis, Gladio is just along for the ride and trying to keep the other three from getting themselves killed, and Ignis is way beyond done with all of his friends and wishing he could text Prompto without making a complete fool of himself.
Told mostly through texts and emails, with prose interludes every five chapters.

Inspired by a random thought during a marathon random re-watch of SF Debris Voyager reviews, A Fire of Devotion (named for a lyric from a Florence + the Machine song*) is about a hypothetical pairing of Seven of Nine and Ensign Samantha Wildman.
* Ironically, the song in question is called "What Kind Of Man." Ironic since the core relationship of the story is about a same-sex relationship between two cisgendered women.
