Summary
King Anthony Bridgerton, monarch of a faraway land, has survived two assassination attempts in the last year. He must swallow his pride and request help from his ex childhood love, Kate Sharma, who runs a (possibly) illegal spy running organization and hides a deadly talent.
They must pretend to be in love in order to find out who wants the king dead, and prevent them from succeeding. Old feelings resurface with a passion, and for some, they never went away.
Between scheming siblings, vengeful mistresses, and having to share a bed with the most beautiful woman in the world; trying to keep his feelings hidden may prove more difficult than Anthony planned for.

It didn’t take long for her to realise her father was weaker in more than just his health and she would gain nothing from ruling like he did.
