    Arthur knows what he should feel, it's been craved into his very soul. Knows that there should be fury, and betrayal, and anger; and Merlin knows too as he sets his jaw and meets his eyes.
    Arthur knows he should feel the hatred his father has breed into his core from the day he was born, but instead he finds it impossible to breathe against the fear bubbing in his throat. He stares at Merlin's now covered torso and he can swear he still sees the marks underneath. The image burned itself on his eyelids for everytime he blinks it looks back at him.
