Cliff stared. He stared some more.

“It’s a dead body.”
“Yes, I see this. I am saying what the fuck is it doing here?”
“Obviously I killed him.” Shane spoke.
“Obviously.” Ilya echoed, his voice a ghost of a whisper. He was staring at the corpse with a quiet bewilderment that Shane would have found amusing in literally any other circumstance.
“...I don’t really know what to do now.” Shane admitted quietly.
Ilya was silent for a long, terrifying moment. “And you thought I would?”
“Well…”
“Well, what, Hollander?”
“You knocked.”Or: Shane Hollander kills a man (in self defense) and is far more concerned about crossing a line with Ilya than the dead body in his hallway.
