Summary
When Bradley was young, while he usually went to Maverick for almost everything (nightmares, needing comfort, etc), whenever the kid was sick, Maverick was always too worried about making sure Bradley was ok, or stressing out about how to make him feel better. He couldn’t help it. He hated when his kid was in pain.
Ice however always knew how to remain calm, and give the kid just what he needed while still providing comfort, making him the only person Bradley would want when he wasn’t feeling well. Apparently 15 years later, that hasn’t changed.

Bradley comes down with a nasty virus, but receives comfort from the one person he felt he had yet to repair the relationship with. -

He remembered the way she used to look at him fondly, warm lips pressed on his squishy cheek as she cut open the pie, the smell of apple and cinnamon peppered in the air.
Even with Ben gone, he felt like everything was going to be okay.
But now, with May gone, he had nobody. Nobody.
Peter sniffed as he gathered himself in all the blankets he owned (Which was just one, not so unlucky perks of being dirt poor) and wrapped himself around his hoodie. He slowly curled into the smallest ball as he wept silently for everything he’s lost.
He really didn’t deserve anything good, did he? He did take advantage of everything he had in his life, right?
And now, for this Christmas, he pays the price.OR
