Summary
Under the bright light of the moon, Grian could see the man’s face clearly. His fluffy brown hair fell over his forehead lightly, and his nose was a bit puffy, like he’d been punched recently. He had a couple scars on his face, one bisecting his eyebrow and another starting under his lip and travelling below his chin. There was a mask looped around one of his ears, and Grian knew he was meant to be wearing it. But it was his eyes that made Grian’s blood run cold.
His eyes were a kind of piercing that had the capability to strike fear with a glance. They were bright green, the brightest Grian had ever seen in his life. They were narrowed, calculating. Cold. They were the eyes of a killer.
“Fly away, Birdie.”

Grian's life gets turned upside down overnight after an accidental run in with one of Hermit City's most notorious serial killers, the Hunter. And after he realizes that they're the only two people in the whole city that can see the strange phenomenon they call "glitches", Grian's life turns even stranger. How will he navigate resurfacing memories, strange dreams, and growing feelings for a serial killer?

“Oh, put the puppy eyes away, Scar, I was just teasing.” Grian chuckles. Shifting away from Scar and reluctantly leaving the warm confines of the prior cuddles and the warmth of the blanket, he uncovers himself and stands up. “You staying in here on the couch while I cook?”
Scar shakes his head again, less frantic about it this time, while a teasing grin of his own spreads across his lips. “And trust you not to burn something or do something to my food when you’ve never cooked for me before? No way, G, I think I’ll be coming with you.”

Grian invites Scar to stay the night after their movie marathon stretches into the later hours of the night, and Grian is plagued with feelings.

Grian let out a relieved sigh and his posture relaxed. Finally. He didn’t know how long he could stay on edge. But now he could finally unwind. He pulled out his communicator and sent a message to Scar.
