Summary
He looked like a mythology character come alive, like a Viking from the Old Times. His strong thighs were clad in leather, his boots having more laces than strictly necessary. He wasn’t wearing a robe but a warm coat with fur: Harry guessed it was too cold up there for anything flimsy and billowing.
But the most stunning thing in him was his hair. It was long and shiny, like a golden waterfall. Part of it was weaved into tiny braids tied with beads made of natural stones and wood. The braids were pulled back into a half-ponytail with the rest of his hair free and flowing down his shoulders.
Shoulders that were wide and strong, proud like the man had always been, yet now they hinted not of a haughty heritage but a warrior’s stance.Bookmarked by Wayns

Harry Potter learns about magic a little earlier. He finds someone he'll protect with his life, just a little earlier. Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts with plants dancing to his whims, oddly sensitive hearing, and an unusual yearning for the large forest surrounding the castle.
(In which the Dursleys are a little crueler, and Harry is a little more brittle and a little less human.)

Summary
Harry isn’t the Boy-Who-Lived, but his parents still died, and Albus Dumbledore, concerned that Death Eaters might seek the boy’s death, cast a powerful charm on him to make wizards ignore him before Harry was left with the Dursleys. Except, with the Elder Wand in play, the charm was far too powerful, and made others essentially forget Harry existed when not directly interacting with him. Sorted into Ravenclaw at Hogwarts, Harry lives a contented life with no one either loving or hating him…until the charm breaks on his seventeenth birthday, and he’s suddenly plunged directly into the middle of a living world at war.
