Summary
After her hospitalization and subsequent transfer, Utena is haunted by strange nightmares. Not of Akio or of Anthy’s fate, though she certainly has nightmares pertaining to both, but rather a strange series of duels against students wearing black roses. Despite the fog covering all of her memories of Ohtori, Utena tries to make sense of what little she can discern from her dreams and reflect on her experiences at Ohtori Academy along the way.

Utena bit back a hmph. “You don’t have to sound like I forced you to come.”
Anthy smiled as pleasantly as ever, and for a moment Utena both hated and envied how Anthy kept her composure no matter what. If Utena wore her heart on her sleeve, then Anthy’s heart was stowed inside her school uniform, tucked safely behind layer upon layer of the thickest fabric where no one had ever seen it.
That didn’t mean Utena didn’t want to see it.
