And Jamie’s here, the only person in this room, the spotlight on him casting everyone else in shadow. He knows they’re out there somewhere, audience to a Greek fucking tragedy, and maybe when this is over they’ll realize they should be applauding.

Summary
Finish cleaning the work room and then attend to the master. That was all the boy had to do before the day was out and the guests arrived for what may have been the biggest night of their lives. It was simple. Mundane, even.
That was, until the mirror started talking to him. Now faced with his reflection that seemed to have a mind of its own, the boy was overwhelmed with revelations of his and his boss' impending doom, the downfall of everything they'd been working toward, and the future marvels of the soon-to-be modern world. It was, simply put, a bit much. Was he having a nightmare? Was he delusional? Who knew. One thing he did know, however: there was a LOT in store for the boy, regardless of his murder that was apparently supposed to take place by the end of the night.
