Karkat has always known that his best friend (debatably, because that should be Sollux, but he's also an asshole about half the time so), Terezi, has an odd habit of letting her favourite colour/flavour influence imperative life decisions.
The colour/flavour being red, and cherries, of course. And in knowing he now has some apparent competition in that department thanks to their recent meeting the stupid things called humans—and one very particularly stupid one with the infuriatingly bright red text himself—he should really know Terezi inviting him to her land out of the blue is something to take very special note of.
He doesn't though, because he's also very stupid himself.
