Such a cold and clinical response, Yae bemoaned, with not even a hint of red present in her cheeks!
It was criminal, really, that sharp face remaining devoid of what was now a much-needed flush of color. Honestly, Yae should be offended at this point. How dare Kujou Sara remain so outwardly stoic at the prospect of taking one of her shrine maidens? And this was after Yae’s own honeyed words failed to rouse her, too.
The whole thing was preposterous. Was this a Tengu or a statue sitting before her?

Childe felt heat rush to his cheeks, and he was both endeared and baffled by Zhongli’s seeming inability to get the point. “So, you’re basically asking me to order you a plushie of me .”
“That is my request, yes.”

“What a quaint tradition.” Childe laughed, and, perhaps, if he were accompanied by any other Liyuean, they would misconstrue his mirth as mockery. Zhongli, however, could find no cruelty in the brightness of his ocean-blue eyes, nor in the gentle bow of his pink lips. Joy, and it alone, was the cause of his laughter.
Childe glanced at him, then, gaze so startlingly alight with life that it made Zhongli's heart seize.
Perhaps he had been staring too long. He turned away, bringing a hand up to conceal the curve of his mouth and clear his throat. Childe turned too, his attention drawn back to the display of plushies.
“I should buy one.”
The simple statement, uttered with no hesitance, made Zhongli nearly choke on thin air.

“It’s about Chongyun,” Xingqiu confessed. “He’s been acting odd lately.”
“How so?”
“Well…” Xingqiu let his response hang in the air, before leaning in and whispering furtively to Zhongli, “First, you have to promise not to laugh. It’s sort of embarrassing, okay?”

Now it was Zhongli’s turn to look confused. “It’s a gift for.... “
He paused, struggling to find a word that described Childe’s relationship to him. Finally, he settled on: “someone dear to me.”
Ying’er looked as if she wanted to say something, but, in the end, only motioned for the payment.
