The both of them are tied to their duty as a prince and a knight. Those shared kisses and whispered confessions against soft lips mean nothing when their lives are ultimately not theirs.

Winter is coming to an end and the new NPS transfers are coming in, disrupting Megumi's day to day, when all he wants to study is the wildlife. It's why he's here, isn't it? A handsome new law enforcement ranger threatens the routine Megumi has, along with natural disasters, search and rescue missions and wildlife emergencies.
An AU where Yuuji and Megumi work as NPS officers. Yuuji is new to Yellowstone (but not new to the parks), and Megumi is seasoned in Yellowstone.
(Megumi is an animal dork in this, I feel like that's canon, though.)
