What happened in the space of sitting on that horrid metal altar and the train rolling into the station unmanned but for two warped skeletons? There probably was nothing but time.
(Missing scene between Ragnarök : End of the Line and Terminus from The Bifrost Incident album. I imagine having to sacrifice yourself and your wife just to give your planet more time to prepare for a threat they have no clue is coming probably isn't conducive for a healthy headspace.

All of it happened so fast and there wasn't a thing they could do to stop it.

Or: Marius convinces the mechs to go back for Lyf. They all agree it's just until they can get the story of the Bifrost out of them, but when someone is stuck on a spaceship fleeing a rainbowy hell with you long enough. You start to get attatched.

Lyf accidently lets it slip to the prison trio that they've been set up on a blind date. Marius has been pining for a while, and sees this as a wonderful oppertunity to "shoot his shot" by going in disguise and pretending to be Lyf's actual blind date. Lyf sees right through this, but figures, to hell with it. May as well see where this goes. (A stupid cute date night between two dumbasses ensues.)
