Summary
The strangest thing about Jesper was the casual manner in which he touched people. He would put his arm around Wylan’s shoulder like it was the easiest thing in the world. He would bump shoulders with Wylan as they leaned over the boat without a second thought.
It was embarrassing how emotional it made Wylan. He wanted to cry the first time Jesper had thrown an arm around his shoulders. He had been telling Wylan a joke, and when he got to the punchline he had thrown his hands into the air. As Wylan had rolled his eyes, Jesper had casually put an arm around his shoulder.
No one had touched Wylan like that for as long as he could remember. He couldn't think of the last time someone had touched him without intending to hurt him.

A guarantee?" The Zemini asked. "What guarantee?"
And then everything stopped. Wylan could hear his own heart beating, threatening to burst out of his chest, while the room stayed silent. He reluctantly raised his head to meet Kaz's gaze, still on him.
If Wylan thought Kaz was less cruel, he'd think he spared him. That he would give him the chance to tell them at his own time.
But that wasn't the case.
"You are going to make me say it, right?" Kaz muttered and Jesper and Nina turned their heads to see Wylan as well.
"Say what?" Jesper's hands stopped playing with his fingers. Wylan already missed the motion.
"Everyone," Kaz sighed. "Meet Wylan 𝘝𝘢𝘯 𝘌𝘤𝘬. Our guarantee."

As the days went by, it became more apparent to Jesper that he really hoped Wylan was his soulmate. There was something so natural in the way they met and grew to care for and love each other. There had to be a reason why Jesper’s mind drifted to Wylan whenever something good happened and he’d find himself wanting nothing more than to tell Wylan about it. It felt like loving Wylan was wired into his brain.
or, a Wesper soulmate au, where when you write on your skin it appears on your soulmate but Wesper have their own way of going about it.

Jesper Fahey holds a very strict anti relationship lifestyle. He kisses and hookups but doesn’t let the feelings go deeper than the surface. Wylan, his best friend, has a huge crush on him despite knowing it will never work. Wylan has never been kissed before and unlike Jesper, he wants his first kiss to have meaning. A stupid game of seven minutes in heaven makes Jesper realize just how wrong he’s been. Wylan is none the wiser.
