It all started when Gav sent Cid a list he found on the internet, a list known as Kinktober. Of course Cid had to show it to Clive and one unfortunate comment and the lives of the Hideaway Restaurant are disrupted as Cid decided to run Kinktober as an event for the clients.

Today, today was the day. Today was the day that Cid would tell Barnabas he was leaving.
They’d had almost eight years together. That was epic, practically unheard of by modern standards, but Cid just wasn’t getting what he needed anymore and it was time to move on. Barney could replace him easily enough and Cid could find someone else, probably multiple people.
Yes. Today was the day Cid would finally tell Barnabas he was leaving their D&D game.

“Shouldn’t I be asking you that, Mr. Coma?” Eddie retorted with a snort, the gentle teasing easing the tension from Buck’s shoulders.
“Well, I’m the one that has to play catch-up,” he reminded his best friend.
Eddie frowned slightly at that and it was as he reached up to fiddle slightly with the St. Christopher medallion - something that had always been a nervous tick of his - that Buck noticed it.
A gleam of silver wrapped around his finger, shining in the sunlight that came in through the window of Buck’s hospital room.
A ring.

The Buckley siblings were just trying to have a nice holiday, a bit of sibling bonding time away from the chaos of LA, unfortunately the universe has other plans.
Towards the end of a ten hour flight to England flight BA268 disappears, and Buck and Maddie just so happen to be on the passenger manifest.

The cabin crew began yelling “Brace, brace, head down, stay down. Brace, brace, head down, stay down.”
Buck hadn’t been scared of much in his life, he was an adrenaline junkie, he ran into burning buildings for a living. But this? This was probably the most scared he’d ever been. Usually he had control, usually he knew what he was doing. He chose to go up that ladder, he chose to run into burning buildings, he chose to tempt fate. But right now he was in a huge metal coffin falling from 12,510 metres towards the Atlantic ocean, and he had no control whatsoever.
He pulled his phone out and opened the group chat he had with Hen, Eddie, Chimney, Bobby and Athena, “plane going down im sorry i love you” and hit send.

YEAR OF THE REALM 860
The Night of the Flames
Archduke Elwin Rosfield, Joshua Rosfield, and Rodney Murdoch escaped from the destruction wrought upon Phoenix Gate by a mysterious second Eikon of Fire. Though his body was not recovered from the rubble, it is believed that Clive Rosfield, First Shield of Rosaria, perished in the fortress that night while defending his family from their would-be assassins.
When Murdoch orders the remaining forces to rally at the rear gate, the men instead search the fortress for Clive. As a result of this, many things change and one thing does not.
15 is not a chapter, it is an update about the future of this work.
