Summary
Grace and Rocky are on their way to Erid when they encounter a strange terrestrial vessel that has somehow made its way to space. The single occupant is alive and Grace and Rocky rescue him, but they are then faced with the challenge of gaining this stranger's trust and dealing with the contamination he brought with him.

"What do you WANT?"
“I just want you to live!” Grace threw up his hands in exasperation “Is that so wrong? Is that so hard to believe?!—” he lowered his hands and quieted his voice. It took enormous effort. “I just want you to stay alive, and I need you to just sit still so you don’t die.”
The man’s expression dissolved from roiling rage to bafflement. There was something else too though. Grace could see cogs spinning behind the man’s eyes. Something about that answer had stuck.

Summary
On the journey to Erid, Grace and Rocky discuss their respective alien biologies and Rocky learns that a lot of humans don't make it to the average 80 year life expectancy.
Years later, it looks like Rocky is going to learn that lesson again in a more personal way, but not if he has anything to say about it.

Summary
Simon died. He felt it, something ripping him open from the inside and tearing his body apart. There should have been no coming back from that end and yet, here he is.
The monster had spoken of a pinhole god, curious and wanting to understand their universe. Then it forcibly pushed him into the Light, where something much bigger than him, to what Simon is little more than a speck of dust, had looked straight at Simon. Had seen him, known him, said his name.
Maybe seeing Simon sacrificing himself for the good of humanity, had earned him one last chance at life. Not enough to balance the scales of the afterlife but enough to be saved for now.
Or maybe this god is nothing like the one Simon knows of, could not give less of a shit what Simon is and what he’s done, and is just curious to see what a dead man would do if left alive.
Either way, Simon lives.
Fuck.

“Incoming message.”
Grace’s head shoots up, looking up at the speakers from which Mary’s voice echoed.
“What?” he asks around a mouthful of ramen, as Rocky’s xenonite ball rocks a bit as he stands up straight. They had been working on expanding some of their vocabulary more, wanting to make sure they could actually properly discuss both their missions.
“Radio waves captured. Estimated to have travelled from the direction of Van Maanen's star. Should I play the message Dr Grace?”AKA Grace and Rocky get a strange message at the start of their mission and make a detour to save this mystery man from a submarine in space.

Summary
The world as they all knew it is gone. Beasts roam the world, with insatiable appetites and hunger for humans. No one knows where they came from, and no one has the chance to figure it out. The end of it all wasn't quiet, it was filled with the screams of friends and enemies alike. Humanity though, has a strange way of persisting despite it all.
It's been nearly two years since the world ended. Simon has been banished from the only safe place he's known through it all. When he's rescued by a strange nerd and his blind friend, he really thinks he might just be doomed. With one less arm and no real plan, he decides to stick with them as they trek across the remains of the country in search of a place called Erid, all the while doing their best to stay alive and find out what in the world is left to fight for.
