    Shen Qingqiu had always questioned what Binghe ever saw in him. Binghe was the protagonist, the axis point on where the entire world rotated on. 

     

    Why would he go for his Shizun? Shen Qingqiu was all broken edges, with a prickly demeanor, and with an equally unaffectionate tongue. He was all chipped surfaces with no softness. He had nothing to offer.
    . 

    Perhaps Shen Qingqiu lost his attention. Perhaps he would be casted aside because of his foolishness, like every side character that dared to long for the main protagonist, only to be shunned by the narrative. 

    Or in which Shen Qingqiu drinks vinegar, Shang Qinghua is tormented by his lackluster narrative choices, and Binghe has a tact of an elephant in a room filled with fine china.

    When Dream and George first got together and George would tell Dream his “funny stories” about overdosing on pills, and seeing God when he took too many shrooms and waking up in the ICU, Dream would always be concerned, like a good boyfriend should be. He would always give George the same sad smile, and George would shrug it off and say it was funny. Dream didn’t know what to do about it for the longest time, because of course it upset him thinking about how his ex- addict boyfriend had almost died countless times. But then he figured out it was better to say nothing at all, it was better to laugh along and pretend that George spasming from snorting too much coke was funny (because at least he wasn’t doing that anymore, right?).

    Dream always told George he loved him always, but George now knows that doesn’t mean forever.

    "You wanna tell him Tubbo?" Fundy called.

    Tubbo looked up from the board, looking at Fundy then George.

    "Tell him what?" Tubbo said.

    "Why he shouldn't have taken the challenge from Clay," Fundy said.

    "Oh," Tubbo said. "I saw Clay with the Botez sisters at the cafe near Spruce St yesterday. They were playing chess."

    Okay. Maybe now George is a little scared.

    George always hated Clay. He was always bothering George, being loud in the library, trying to distract him by sitting next to him in class, always asking what George got in their latest test. George wanted nothing to do with him.

    That was until Clay decided to challenge George into an official chess match, which by their club rules, is challenging George's position as head of the chess club.

    In completely unrelated events, George has also been passing notes back and forth with a secret admirer called Dream for the past few months, and he's pretty convinced he's crushing pretty bad.
