George finds out one day that Dream is in love. It's not a big deal, it's really not. Sure, he felt like he'd been punched in the gut when he found out, but that's because Dream had ever so casually announced it on stream. Of course George would be upset to find out that his best friend was willing to tell thousands of faceless strangers about his love life, but not him. And so what if he'd been dwelling on it since those words had left Dream's lips? It wasn't a big deal. But, you know, if Dream is willing to have a midnight rendezvous at the pool, then George figured he might as well bring it up.

"Him?" George asks, surprised. "Is that why you never told me?"
"What? Because he's a dude? Course not; that's stupid," Dream laughs.
George chuckles along with him. "Can you tell me who it is?"
"Nope," Dream replies immediately, cheerfully popping the p. When George scowls at him, he just grins. "Oh, come on. You didn't think it'd be that easy, did you?"
George just turns his head away because, quite frankly, he did think it'd be that easy. That makes Dream laugh again, and George just rolls his eyes. "Fine. Can I try and guess?"
Dream clucks his tongue in thought then nods. "Sure."

His little phrases, those were his little phrases. Dream felt like his heart could stop. His little phrases were terms of adoration.
‘Tu es tout pour moi’ he’d said. 'You are everything to me,' he’d meant.
‘Tu es la lumière de ma vie’ he’d said. 'You are the light of my life, he’d meant.
--- OR: George's first language is French and for his entire friendship with Dream, he's been telling him things in French. One day, Dream decides to learn French to understand what George has been telling him.

Dream is a terrifying man to go against in a fight.
All the hunters know what he's capable of, how intelligent and fast-thinking he is, how he can manipulate and lie his way out of a lethal situation. And that's what Dream likes -he likes outsmarting everyone.
He likes the explosion of dust that comes when he kills one of the hunters, he likes the slaughter after the chase. That's normal, that's natural to feel good about your achievements.
But when George, one of the hunters, one of the people supposed to be killing him thinks about that he feels...excited. He shouldn't, he knows that.
Doesn't change that his heart still races when he sees Dream do something so, so risky but so clever at the same time.
It doesn't make George hate Dream any more, either.

When George is stood up one night, he walks along the city side towards his house only to find a new shop had opened up. Flowers were flowing out of the quaint shop; Roses of every colour, Hibiscus larger than he'd ever seen, Carnations that looked soft to the touch. George found himself entering the flower shop without a second thought only to find more than just a bundle of flowers to make him smile.
