Summary
For some reason Leon couldn’t get up. There was something against his chest, keeping him lying down, and his disjointed brain couldn’t figure this out. Frowning, Leon tried to open his eyes, but he didn’t even get them halfway there before he realized what a colossally bad idea it was. Had it really been this light out before? It was like the sun was trying to bore right into his brain, and he noped out as fast as he managed by squeezing his eyes shut again.
“Try to take it easy,” a familiar voice spoke, like from a distance. “You hit your head pretty hard.”
It took a while for Leon to place who it was but knowing he was with allies instead of lying alone in the middle of a battlefield somewhere did relax him at least somewhat. His head was splitting open, though, and his side wasn’t much better. What the hell had gotten him there?

Summary
“First you’ll have to lift your shirt for me,” Chris said, not making a move to stand up from the bench he’d crashed on. Once Leon just gave him a long look instead of acting on it, Chris rolled his eyes. “I saw you get snagged earlier. You’re bleeding.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Leon said dismissively. It only took a long look from Chris and he relented, though, lifting the hem of his shirt enough to reveal a nasty looking gash. It was superficial, definitely not deep enough to be lethal in itself, but it also looked painful and it wouldn’t be good to get dirt in it.
“Alright,” Chris said, probing around the first aid kit. “Hold still and let me fix this.”

Summary
Chris swallows, the feeling of having to piece together his jumbled memories sending an uneasy fear through his chest. This isn’t the first time he’s taken a blow to the head in a fight— it happens more often than he’d like— but that doesn’t make it any less terrifying.
He remembers now though. So maybe headbutting a BOW wasn’t his brightest idea ever.
