A slim manicured hand reached out and pinched his chin abruptly, almost aggressively as she tilted his face left and right to get a better look.
He knew what she was seeing, he only hoped to not embarrass himself with any kind of expression, but the warmth filling his cheeks made him afraid he’d already done so. He had never seen anyone so pretty before in his life. Her teeth looked sharp as she smiled at him, but it wasn’t a kind smile. More like the kind of smile that someone gets when they’re pleased with a new toy.
Mischievous. Playful. Suspicious.
“What are you?” She asked him, her lips softer than rose petals as she spoke.
He had to fight not to choke on his spit as he answered, hopefully his voice would remain level. “Not human, Princess.”

It wasn’t very intentional on her part, but the Runaway Kid now owed the scary raincoat girl a big favour for saving his life. There isn’t much he could offer her really, but his services as her memory scribe. Afterall, he has space in this new journal he found, and he could really use her protection if he is to find his way home.
Or maybe he’s doing this because he finds her sad and lonely and that she awfully needs a friend.
First thing to save from the fog, there is something about a Paper Bag that Six desperately wants to remember.
