A multi-chapter follow up on my A Familiar Presence one-shot. This one does include my named OC/Warrior of Light and is definitely more indulgent. The previous work is not a requirement but does provide a bit more content for this one.

“Since always.” Emet-Selch narrowed an eye and judged her expression to be that of a child caught in an act of mischief. “Unless you know something that makes you believe otherwise?”
By the Twelve, she would have been better off playing the mute.

Summary

Adam had made many mistakes.
Over his short life, he had taken lives, destroyed livelihoods, attacked indiscriminately. Yet he felt justified in it. Freedom for the Faunus was worth as many lives as it costed them. But one fated train heist costed him more than he was willing to give, and after leaving the White Fang behind, he would have to decide what his purpose in the world really was.
Perhaps Beacon held the answer. Where he would find allies and new friends, he would also have to face the evil that secretly infected the world, and the evil that had infected him.
The question he couldn't answer is: Does he have the strength to do it?

Summary
Ruby, a young huntress-in-training, is separated from her team during a hunting trip thanks to a freak snowstorm. Trying to find shelter from the storm, she finds herself at the doorstep of a large wooden cabin. Knowing it would be impossible to find her way back until the storm clears, Ruby does what any sane person would do- she breaks in. What she expects to find is maybe an angry lumberjack, or a startled grandma. What she doesn't expect to find, is the unmoving girl slumped unconscious against a cabinet.
