    Summary

When things get complicated in Hong Kong, Cass requests help from Batman Inc. Unbeknownst to her, Bruce dispatches not one of her brothers, but Stephanie Brown, who Cass has not spoken to since she gave up the Batgirl mantle.

Steph is eager to reunite with her best friend, but things between them are complicated. Not the least of the problems is the fact that Steph might be falling in love… but of course, Cass is straight, so Steph really shouldn’t dwell on that.

Friendship and romance, conspiracy and adventure await the two of them as they try to unravel a complicated plot that seeks to stop Batman Incorporated before it can truly begin.

    Summary

“Oracle. This is Batgirl.” She paused.

    Robin frowned.

    “Come in, Oracle.”

“Perhaps she is momentarily unavailable,” Robin said. Batgirl nodded. Babs could be in the bathroom. Could have stepped into another room for a moment. Gone to get something.

“Batman. Come in, Batman. This is Batgirl.”

    Silence.

Robin huffed. “Nightwing. This is Robin requesting immediate assistance.”

    Nothing.

“All lines. General call from Hong Kong. We are in the dark. Please respond if you can hear us,” Batgirl said.

Robin frowned at her, and the expression looked less annoyed this time, more worried, more childish.

Batgirl turned off her comm. “Superman,” she said. “Uncle Clark. Can you hear me?”

    Robin’s eyes were wide.

    They waited.

    They waited.

    They waited.

Fantastic premise, Hilarious tags, Great choice of characters for this trope, it's GREAT!

The author really highlights the differences between Marvel and DC's worldbuilding, and how they treat heroes, and the different barriers those heroes FACE and WHY. It's neat! It's interesting! It's intriguing!! I love the assumptions chaarcters make, and knowing WHY they make them, and also how wrong or right they are, and why.

“It is Bruce,” Tim says in a low voice. “I’ve been looking at some of the police reports, I know Bruce’s work when I see it–”

“Batman doesn’t kill,” Jason says stubbornly.

Or: Jason travels across dimensions. Things are fine – really, he's fine – even if there's some murderous maniac pretending to be Batman here.

Leia Organa-centric! Yes!! Complex thoughts on family and lineage and history, and what one claim (or not), and why. How personal it is to decide what you're going to carry into the future, and what things are left behind.

    Really amazing!!

    Summary

Rhoam had called him a knight. Then he called him Your Highness. But what was Link a prince of? (Assuming he even was, assuming Rhoam wasn’t screwing with his head for Link’s disrespect). He wasn’t Prince of Hyrule, surely. Was he…not from Hyrule?

It all made his head ache.

“Zelda?” he asked aloud. “Was he serious?”

There was no answer. Just the wind.

Link grabbed the paraglider. He wouldn’t get any answers in these ruins. He needed to get off this plateau at last.

He’d follow the slate. He’d find Impa.

And then he’d find whoever gave him his locket.

    *

100 years ago, the Great Calamity ravaged Hyrule. In the chaos, Princess Mipha and her husband, Prince Link, lost their lives.
Until Link rose from the Shrine of Resurrection that is.
Needless to say, the Zora aren't too happy about their amnesiac prince wandering the country alone. It looks like he'll need a guard...

OR: Link and Mipha were married. He's joined by some over-protective friends on his quest to save Hyrule.

(Also known as Sidon, Bazz and Rivan being the best hype men and bodyguards ever. No, Sidon absolutely does not have Dorephan's permission to be here.)

    Bookmarker's Notes

I thought this was going to be a 'kinder, more welcoming zora AU' version of botw, but Link and MIpha's relationship is baked into the entire thing, and effects far more than just how the zora treat Link! It's an amazing story!!

I'm at chapter 19, stopped to sort out my botw and Zelda thoughts. Unrelated to this work! But my own struggles with recontextualizing the series bled into the comment I left, and thats not fair to the author.

I want to appreciate this story for what it IS, not be bitter about what botw WASN'T, for Zelda specifically, when thats not what this story's about, and I knew that going in, you know?
