Summary
It is 1815. Paris has fallen, the dead roam the French countryside, and the Grande Armée orders a general retreat in one last attempt to ensure what little of them remains survives the incoming onslaught.
The Lieutenant of the 1èr Compagnie, 2ème Régiment du Génie, guarded, tired, scarred, half-dead, cold, and filled to the brim with thoughts and memories better not entertained, finds himself in command of one such group of fleeing soldiers, and he prepares to deliver them from the Great Plague in one last operation before he either rests till oblivion or dies of exhaustion. He expects the regular faces to appear and a good amount of men to die, and has spent the previous days preparing mentally for it to come.
The new, bumbling, inexperienced Sub-Lieutenant of the same unit finds himself as the deputy of one of the sorriest groups of wretches he has ever seen, and he is intrigued by them and their stories, especially the silent Lieutenant.
Arsène-Thierry Chevaulord starts to wonder deeply about what hides behind his superior's stone-cold face.
Jacob Louise starts to realise that maybe, just maybe, the hope of getting to America without a breakdown was harder than he thought.

“Ah, here we are…” Jean murmurs and lifts his silverware with utmost delicacy as china is laid out in front of him. “What is the occasion that you invited me over for Karl?” His brows furrow slightly, spoon dipping into the smooth cream of an Earl Grey posset. “All these new deserts,” Jean’s dark eyes now flicker over to the pile of pomegranate caramels and mountain of clementine confites. “Planning to change the menu at last?” He hums, an easy smile returning to his face.Jean taste tests desserts for the new menu and speaks with Karl.

Summary
Barry, Jacob and Karl have found themselves sharing a quant apartment together. Who will they meet, what will they do? With no threat of the undead the only thing they really have to worry about is paying rent and surviving each other.
This is a collection of small fics that occur in the same universe with some relation. There is no huge overarching plot just smaller story’s put together, exploring the lives of the guts and Blackpowder npc’s if they weren’t fighting against the undead. This is also just a place for me to write scenarios I couldn’t make work in the normal guts and Blackpowder universe and to just experiment with writing overall. Please don’t take anything written here super seriously or expect it to be good this is my cringe slop and I doesn’t matter if it’s bad in the end because it’s mine.

Friedrich was ready to save lives, but not take them. What shall he do when the only thing that will save someone is to kill something that looks exactly like a human? Something that looks exactly like someone he once loved? Does he have what it takes to live for himself or will he always be caught up in trying to live for others? Only time will tell if Hell on Earth will forge him into something tough and resilient, or cast him into something brittle and fragile.
