Summary
Aether is so sick of moving in and moving out. Due to their parent's work, they've always traveled around, like a family of vagabonds. The memories he created with people he loved, all of them got buried as he starts packing his bags off to their next destination.
A year could feel like a day and he'll be gone by tomorrow.
This pushed him to be closed off, unable to form a genuine connection with the people he meets. Not after the devastation, he went through.
However, moving to Liyue will prove him wrong and will let him open up his heart once again when he meets a certain teal-blue haired boy.

Summary
A year ago, Aether’s twin sister Lumine was killed in a freak homicide, and the case went cold. After a year of semi-effective recovery, a bad breakup, and the need for a fresh start, he packs up what’s left of his belongings and moves to a small nowhere town well outside of Mondstadt, hoping it’ll be the breath of fresh air he needs to really move on with his life.
Instead, on the first night in the new place…he finds himself haunted by her restless spirit.
Enter, Xiao: a friend of a friend, courtesy of Venti, and "a guy who deals with ghosts." When the hauntings increase, and Aether finds himself in need of Xiao's protection, he realizes his "fresh start" is about to be full of repressed trauma...and a significant amount of questioning his sexuality. Oh—and a little bit of solving a murder, too.

Summary
Xiao had made peace with the end of his role as an adeptus. As the new high school counselor, Aether has been received quite well so far. Sure, his students may have grown too comfortable and like to tease by calling him 'ma'am' instead of 'sir' or flicking at his braid. But other than that, he feels like he has truly found his place.
So, Aether cannot fathom why or who on earth would suddenly begin a series of vandalized attacks against his home. And he is starting to suspect that the neighborhood delinquent may have something to do with it.
After all, this is the same delinquent who happens to have a habit of watching him from around the corner or suddenly pinning him against walls.
