"Can’t wait for this case to be over.”
Even the blanket Dean tightly covered himself with did not stop the frost, which broke into the room in the wake of a figure clad in a barely-thin coat. Snow drifted onto the doormat, not planning to turn into a dull puddle any time soon. However, the speckles settled on Castiel's shoulders and hair had different ideas. The unique snowflakes disappeared as if by the touch of a magic wand upon contact with a living creature. Dean was not surprised by that; there was a heat emanating from Cas that was difficult to explain and had nothing to do with temperature.
The thought of wrapping his arms around an invulnerable body warmed Dean from the inside. First with shame, and then immediately with anger. He knew perfectly well that in the current situation, he had no right (or desire if anyone asked him) to such trivial pleasures. And while Castiel would ideally fulfil the role of a living private heater, even an attempt to enjoy physical proximity without first talking for hours would end up worse for Dean than stubbornly freezing in place. He had his dignity.

I died, Dean repeated in his mind, staring at his own hands. They seemed to be transparent, and from behind them, Castiel smiled sadly. Tears glistened in his eyes, threatening an imminent outpouring of feelings that, like a rushing river, no one could stop or turn back. -

"Dean. You're pushing it to be a case,” Cas said in a tired voice, getting up from the table and wiping his hands on his shorts. Hawaiian shirt still hanging unbuttoned on his shoulders, which was only a tiny bit distracting for Dean. "You are clearly uncomfortable spending time with us..."
Dean had to remind himself that he should be looking at Cas's face, not at his collarbone or the exposed abdominal muscles. Or skin, lightly scorched by the sun, begging to be touched.

“Christ on a fucking stick!” were the first words Stolas heard at his new school. He’d heard plenty of curses in his life, but the stick thing was new. Stolas is the new student. With a posh accent, a modest monthly stipend because his trust fund was blocked and a dad who doesn't pick up his calls, he is left to fend for himself in a foreign city. He certainly did not expect his life to change (for better or for worse) because of a foul mouthed, skull-necklace wearing local felon.
His world felt lighter and less frightful when Blitz looked his way. He’d never felt so alive as in the last few months. From their first meeting at the principal’s office to their botched kiss in the rain, the adrenaline from sex, drug deals and cigarettes made him feel like more than a puppet about to be sold. He could get in a lot of trouble, yes, but at least his heart was beating.

Summary
Dean Winchester’s been camp manager of a science research station on the Alaskan tundra for thirteen years. Dean likes his job; fixing the camp trucks, troubleshooting the generators, keeping clueless undergrads and NSF bigwigs from walking into grizzly bears or getting lost in snowstorms — it’s all in a day’s work. It keeps him pretty busy, and this year his brother Sam's visiting too, so he's even busier. So it’s really not any of Dean’s business when some weirdo antisocial ornithologist sets up a tent a few miles away, a dark-haired blue-eyed guy who’s doing a “very long-term" study on birds or wings or something, and who never, ever takes off his big lumpy backpack. But then the new guy starts dropping by camp for coffee and... well, he’s not officially part of camp; he's not Dean’s responsibility; he’s really not Dean’s problem at all, but when a strange blizzard comes sweeping in, Dean gets worried and goes to check. Thing is, Dean's spent years in the sweeping vistas of the Arctic. He knows all about the midnight sun and the northern lights, the ice caves and avalanches, the rough-and-ready Haul Road truckers and the even rougher-and-readier wild animals.
