But as he sits holding Roy’s bright red hair back from the toilet as Roy throws up from the nausea, he knows is a symptom of withdrawal. a product of the detox Roy had practically forced him to help with, he can’t help but wonder exactly how true that statement really is.

What it says in the title: the concept of "would you still love me if I were a worm" taken literally.
Superman is transformed into a worm during a mission. Bruce adapts, as always, and dutifully takes care of him. Safety? Check. The best terrarium in Gotham? Also check. Entertainment and comfort? Triple check. Oh, and he works on getting him back to normal.

After an encounter with an unknown criminal, the Batman came to a frightening realization - is his existence really necessary? Bruce starts to self-destruct and Batman stopped patrolling at night. His mind became an echo of the grief he had to bury in order to become Batman.
Meanwhile, his family tries to deal with the consequences.

When a new villain begins making their presence known in Gotham's red-light district, Batman takes it upon himself to solve the case and unmask the culprit. Except things are never quite so easy when it comes to Gotham. But then an unexpected witness with shockingly green hair and a penchant for playing cards pops into the picture, claiming he's caught the perpetrator with blood on his hands (literally.)
Will Batman be willing to put aside his differences with the Joker in the name of stopping a violent murderer? Or will he pursue the matter on his own?
Whatever the case, he'd better choose quickly.
