There was a chill in the air. Katsuki coughed, and looked away from the suddenly intense emerald eyes. "Guess we'll never know, huh?"Izuku breathed out a small laugh, and Katsuki felt a shiver run down his spine. There should be nothing here that made him uncomfortable, and yet. There was danger lurking in the air. Izuku stood up and clapped his hands together, and Katsuki jumped.
When Katsuki rejects his step-brother's advances, he expects that to be the end of it. But his life had never been easy.

Izuku can't help the way he jerks back, almost like he's warding off an oncoming blow.
Katsuki looks at him, and his eyes are sad. His body looks sleep-bitten, dark circles underneath his eyes and in a tank top he'd hurriedly thrown on. Izuku has a hard time looking away.

Deku steps out of the car, and takes Katsuki's cheer with him. Not that there was much in the first place.
"You okay, dude?" Eijirou asks, and Katsuki releases a small tch. Despite everything, Eijirou's eyes track the movement of his lips.
"Damn nerd," Katsuki curses, more heartfelt than he'd been in days. Eijirou bites his tongue of the vitriol that wants to come out most days, but Katsuki doesn't make it easy. Never does. Not when he's chasing after a shadow of a person who no longer exists.

Sanji unfolds the letter, leaning back to save the pristine paper from the onslaught of spit and sauce a talking Luffy creates. “Letter from the Baratié.”
This one is a month old; Sanji knows because it’s dated on the top of the page, although Zeff never bothered to date his letters – that’s all the warning he gets. He reads the few, short sentences written in an unfamiliar handwriting, but doesn’t understand. He reads it again and this time, he stops at the line ‘I’m so sorry, Sanji-kun.’

“Nah,” Luffy says simply, and it seems like that’s that, for a moment. But then he points an accusing finger at Sanji with a little glare and goes, “Hey, I’m not a boy!”
“What?” they all go. Sanji, Nami, Usopp and Vivi. The only one who doesn’t say anything is Zoro, who just looks at Luffy like he— they? she?— is a puzzle to solve.
(Sanji, for her part, might be feeling a little bit betrayed.)
