Summary
Seonghwa is a robot used to record interactions with celebrities, just a shell running a program. Hongjoong is a recently debuted idol struggling with the fake personality his company has forced upon him, just a human wearing a facade.
When Hongjoong's label hires Seonghwa's company so fans can go on 'dates' with their favorite idols, the two meet. Hongjoong hates robots for what they've done to him and others and takes it out on the poor bot without thinking about it. Seonghwa is a machine just trying to enjoy his last few days until he's taken apart for parts. Both of them are going to learn things about themselves and each other, secrets that they've kept hidden come to light and they might just find out they're more alike then they thought they were.
The only problem is that the clock keeps ticking down, and every day leads them closer to the end with no solution to their growing affection. Can they make the most of their feelings before Seonghwa's timer finishes counting down?

“Wh–” Hongjoong murmurs, still unable to see as black circles and static pepper his vision. He startles when he hears something metal and large clatter from behind him a second later.
“Hey, whoa, whoa, I've got you.” And Hongjoong believes it. Because the voice in his left ear is the most soothing thing he's ever heard outside of the ASMR videos he throws on when he's tossing and turning for two hours too long. “You alright?”
Then, there's a chuckle. That same one from behind the books on black holes. Right now, Hongjoong feels like he might've fallen into one himself, his pride spaghettified and cast into oblivion.
“Shouldn't come to the library on an empty stomach,” tuts the voice in his ear, voice warm but not mocking. “Rookie mistake.”
Or: Hongjoong is a mental health counselor coping with a breakup in ways he wouldn't suggest to his clients, and Seonghwa is the beautiful librarian he meets as a result of his poor self-care habits.
